In Answer to your application of the Day, I can have no hesitation to allow you the indulgence you ask; you may therefore repair to Virginia on your private Business, but I shall expect to have you near me in the Spring should the War be continued, & in the mean time exert yourself I pray you to fill your Regiment—with unfeigned Friendship & respect I am Dear Sir
