Ellen W. Randolph (Coolidge) to Martha Jefferson Randolph
[1819–1821?] |
sit Sally to some work, I do not wish her to remain idle
Every one of our mutual acquaintance here enquired most particularly after you, and I hear from all parties that you were more admired last winter than any one who has been in Richmond within the memory of it’s inhabitants, the general expression is, “every one else young or old, handsome or witty was thrown in the shadow completely.”
Cousin Jane is standing by and sends a great deal of love.
Love to Jane & my brother.
