Mary Trist Jones Tournillon to Nicholas P. Trist
Dear Nicholas | December 5th 1815 |
I sent yesterday by Madam Meriams boat directed to Mr Duheys, a Trunk containing some latin books, and a pair of pantaloons, two pair of Socks, and two Cravats, not as large as your measure but it was the only peice of muslin I had, when that arrives which Mrs Livingston purchased I will send you some others; I wish you would mention to her that I have not received those things, as I do not wish to make them the subject of another letter particularly as I have not yet had an answer to my last; you expressed a wish for some cherry bounce to give Mr Livingston I sent you six bottles by the same opportunity. you must be in want of a pair of pantaloons and a vest, [. . .] bespeak them from whatever taylor you prefer let me know the amount of the bill and your Father will send you the money; make choice also of a Shoemaker when you want shoes. I need not say how anxious I am to recieve an answer to the letter I wrote you two mails since. I am confident you had [. . .] it did not reach you or I shou[ld] have had one by the last post. Adieu my dear Child.
Pray let me know whether Mr Livingston has received the dividend from Greaves Estate
