Henry Lee to Thomas Mann Randolph
dear Sir, | 18th Novr [1813] |
I can compleat my preparations for my return to the “Sweet South” on any given day between this & next monday.
Yourself & Captain Randolph I understand are meditating a trip in the same direction and about the same time. To render it more agreeable to me I propose a combined movement, & should no casual conveyance occur, I suggest that we should cooperatively hire a waggen waggon to transport or our baggage to the nearest point on the stage road, to which we might proceed without more delay, on horseback.
very respectfully Yr frd & obt sert
