I have just received your two letters of the 25 and 28th ulto and I am sorry to find there is so little hope of seeing you in our neighbourood. Since you are so strict a disciplinarian and have put it all upon the score of duty I can not venture to say another word upon the subject but will content myself with expressing a hope that I shall be more fortunate on my return from the Springs—I start upon that excursion next monday and will probably be absent about ten days. I will write to you as soon as I get back—
I am sorry to hear Mr Tournillon has been so unwell—as however il n’y a pas de mal de fait I congratulate you upon his recovery—offer my best respects to him as well as to your mother when next you write to them—
