William Bernard to Thomas Jefferson Randolph
Dear Sir | Mannsfield Sepr 25th 1824 |
In a casual conversation with your sister Bankhead a few days ago, I expressed a desire to purchase a farm near the University of Virginia, provided I could dispose of some lands in the county of Henry in this state; upon which she remarked, that you were desirous to dispose of one called as well as I recolled, Pan tops within two miles of Charlottesville. If this is the case, will you be so obliging as to state the number of Acres, its quality, the improvements, if any, and of what kinds,—the mode of payments and the lowest price. I am Dear Sir
