Edward Lowber to Arthur S. Brockenbrough
Sir, | Philaa Mar 29. 1821 |
I have sent on to charlotteville for the university 28 Boxes of window glass in addition to the articles ordered last fall which together me leave me pretty considerably out of funds. As preparatory to a fresh request for money I have desired Mr Vowles to make you a statement of the total amount [. . .] of Painting & glazing done for the university up to the present time. you will sir most particularly oblige me, if, upon receiving the statement you can possibly remit me the whole amount due. The last lot of glass $410 is purchased on a short credit as well as all articles of colours, which is my only excuse to you for so frequently calling on you for money.I am Sir,
