I hand herewith statement the Bill purchased on London & remitted Saml Williams, by request of Mr Jefferson, for the Visitors of the University—which will place in the hands of Mr W. to the order of Mr Appleton of Leghorn $1200—nett—

I have to request you will refund me the premium advanced on this bill as per statement, & my comssn on the same, & portage say $96.84 $97.59 at your earliest convenience.
