Admission of Thomas Jefferson’s Will to Probate and Appointment of Appraisers

The last Will and Testament of Thomas Jefferson deceased was produced into Court & the hand writing of the deceased proved by the Oath of Valentine W Southall & Ordered to be recorded, And On the Motion of Thomas J Randolph Executor therein named letters testamentary are granted him on the Estate of said deceased (without giving bond & Security as requested in the Will of the testator) Thereupon qualified as the law directs, & John M Perry Richard Duke, Reuben Lindsay, John H Craven & Martin Dawson Or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to appraise the estate of said deceased in the County of Albemarle & make report And William Radford, Joel Yancey, Richard Walker & Peachy R Gilmer Or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to appraise the estate of said deceased in the County of Bedford & make report And Henry S Langham, William Gough, Archibald Roberson & David Rodes or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to appraise the estate of said deceased in the County of Campbell & make report
