In compliance with your favour of 11th received today we enclose a pair of Spectacle Glasses—these are of 6 Inches Focus which is a very old sight—there can however be no certainty that they will be suitable—the better way might have been to have sent one of the Glasses from the Spectacles now in the use—which the Lady says are of the oldest sight—this term is often applied to Glasses which are of an old sight though there may be many older—We hope that these now sent may at least answer better than those in use
