Deed of Conveyance from Christian and Mary Wertenbaker to Thomas Jefferson Randolph

This Indenture made on the 5th day of October 1812 between Christian Wertenbaker and Mary his wife on the One part & of Thomas Jefferson Randolph on the other part Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Twenty Dollars in hand paid by Thomas Mann Randolph the father of the said Jefferson Randolph to the said Christian Wertenbaker the said Christian and Mary his wife have given granted bargained and sold to the said Thomas Jefferson Randolph and his heirs all that Lott of Land and buildings in the Town of South Milton in the county of Albemarle upon which he formerly resided being No 13 in the plat of said Town and containing One quarter of an acre of land conveyed to him by Francis Walker bounded by the Lots of MacCredy & Company on South West by Thomas Jefferson on NW., N.E. by streets on S.E. To have and to hold the same Lot of land and buildings with all the appurtenances to the said Thomas Jefferson Randolph and his heirs forever; and the said Christian & Mary his wife for themselves their heirs executors & administrators the said Lot of Land with its buildings and appurtenances to the said Thomas Jefferson Randolph and his heirs will forever warrant and Defend—In Witness whereof they have hereto set their hands and Seals on the Day and year first above written.

At a court held for Albemarle County the 5th of October 1812.

This Indenture of Bargain & sale was produced into court and acknowledged by Christian Wertenbaker party thereto and ordered to be recorded.
